1991, Riga Latvia, time of the perestroika.
The nine-year-old Lena is a child of divorced parents. Her parents separated when she was still very small. Since then they didn’t exchange a single word, their last connection is Lena.
Her father is a drinker and her mother tries to renew her love life.
When Lena is fed up with her drunk father she escapes from home and strolls through the nocturnal Riga.
That’s when Lena’s journey back home begins.
